Book Events!

Had some wonderful book events this Fall! Started with the wonderful Writer’s Workshop at Page158 Books in Wake Forest. Terrific group of writers with facilitator, Suzanne Beaumont! I also picked up some new wonderful fiction and non-fiction books to read!

Amy Hepp (https://amyheppstories.wixsite.com/my-site) and Judy Reed (https://www.amazon.com/Bataan-Freedom-Odyssey-Through-Japanese-ebook/)

Next, I was lucky enough to return to Page158 Books for an author talk with the very, talented author – Angela Anderson. What a dynamic lady! I love her book, The Power of I Am. It gets me started in the morning. Great to see my local friends show up and celebrate with me.

In October, Teri M Brown, (https://www.terimbrown.com/) and I presented Feisty Deeds at the Southwestern Branch of the Brunswick Public Library at Carolina Shores. A big thank you to Kristyna Savard, the staff and the Friends of the Library for making this a wonderful event. Loved talking about my story, Junebug, and answering the questions from the readers who were present. Teri made this event fun and enjoyable.

The Sea Trail Garden Club invited me to speak in early November. Author of cozy mysteries, Karen C Whalen ( http://www.karencwhalen.com/) and I ‘talked turkey’ about writing. We have different styles. But the great thing about writing, is everyone writes differently and that’s fine. I’m a pantser, writing my first draft by the seat of my pants, and Karen is a plotter, who plots out her books before writing. The ladies of the club made us feel so welcome and asked great questions. Hope we inspired some new writers!

What’s next? Let you know soon. In the meantime, check out the awesome award that Feisty Deeds won!! We’re a finalist in the the Independent Author Network Book of the Year Awards for Short Story Collections!!
